Carolina Smokehouse Incorporated, Cashiers

We live in Highlands and travel to Cashiers regularly for Carolina Smokehouse BBQ. Can't comment on the entire menu as we usually order the same things, either large pork BBQ sandwich, ribs or bbq chicken. All great. I even love the coleslaw. Lunch prices definitely better than dinner prices. Service is usually very good.

The food is quite good for a BBQ place, ribs are great and the meat is beautifully cooked, but the problem is that the place has inconsistant days and it is pretty expensive even for a local. There are better restaurants, but not any better local BBQ!

Wow, I am not sure what happened to the person that gave such a bad review!!! Maybe it was the wonderfully thin air. We absolutely loved everything about this quaint little place! And yes I also am a Good 'Ol Southern Gal, and know a good BBQ, The pork was very good, but the chicken was to die for. My husband and I are from the Huntsville, Al area, and absolutely fell in love with this place!!! Great Service and friendly folks, also! We are definitely planning another trip back that way and I hope it is real soon, Keep up the good works!

I lived in Cashiers for 5 months & I visited the restraunt a the food was great the bar-be-que was just right. the portions were very generous and inexpensive.
