Mario's Pizza, Havelock

Tried Marios while out with some clients. WOW it is amazing! Best pizza in the area. I ended up liking it so much, my family and I drove from Emerald Isle to Havelock just to have Mario's pizza. Prices are pretty good considering the fact that the pizza is literally too large for the box. Note: they only take cash, so have cash ready or use the ATM.

I have been a loyal customer since 1998. Even whe i was stationed in TX my wife would fly down there w/ Mario's Pizza when she would come visit me.

Great authentic Italian Pizza: Mario's is still here and making great authentic New York Style pies. To those who state the pepperoni is greasy...It is supposed to be yum yum. I rate them a 10 out of 10 and prefer them to the major chains. They serve nothing bad. Bon Appetite!

The most rude restaurant owner I have ever met. After ordering a salad with wine vinegar on the side I received a salad soaked on “Italian dressing (loooots of vegetable oil)” (I’ve being in Italy, there is not such a thing, it is always extra virgin oil and vinegar and salt on the side). After complaining, the owner show up and rudely refuses to exchange it since “he would be losing money” (what’s the cost? $2?), obviously he has no clue on how to run a business, any other place would exchange a cheap salad immediately. I order another one to give him a chance to rectify but he charge also for the second salad… well obviously me and everybody in my party won’t ever visit that place…. Do the math Mario… now you are really losing money…

Very good food, however, the other day I phoned an order in and when I got there, while waiting for the shop to open, was treated very rudely by an employee who barked about the closed sign on the door being the incorrect sign to look at when considering the store open. It was very bizzare! I spent $31.00 on my take away order, I left angry and will not go back. Luigi needs to consider the mental stability of that employee!

You think there is better pizza in Eastern NC than Mario's? Forgeddaboutit! If you have ever been spoiled by a bite of pizza from the Jersey boardwalk or from Coney Island then you will probably be disappointed by anything else. EXCEPT for Mario's! Even my native Brooklyn husband gives them 2 thumbs up! And he is PICKY!!

This place is amazing! I absolutely enjoy the pizza every time I go there. It's a very friendly and inviting environment, too. It's a great place to eat! The food is quite greasy, which makes it soooooooooo much better!

This is hands down the best place to eat in Havelock. We went there at least once a week and ate just about everything on the menu. I haven't lived in Havelock since 2001, but I still crave their cheesesteak all the time. The New York style pizza is great, and the Sicilian style is the best I've had. Luigi and his staff know their customers by name, and if he's still the owner you can't go wrong.
