The wait staff was very friendly. The chicken and hush puppies were pretty good. I would go back again.

Hilda Catered Dinner for a Wedding Reception that I attended on Saturday, July 30, 2011. Let me start off by saying the food was absolutely wonderful!! What we were served = Mixed Salad, Rolls, Pot Roast served over mashed potatoes, Fried Chicken, Corn & Green Beans. Everything was perfect! Prior to this I had never heard of Hilda's. I am so glad I found out about her. I can't wait to go to her restraunt. My boyfriend said it was the BEST Fried Chicken he had ever had, I totally agree. We both had Chicken Breast but they also had, Legs, Wings and so on. The portions were very generous. Everyone that was seated around me loved the food and praised it many many times over dinner. I can't recommend Hilda highly enough. The staff at the reception were also very friendly and personable. If I could give it 10 stars, I would : )

I can't understand how Hilda's got all those stars. A friend and I had lunch there today, and it was the worst meal I've had in a long time. The buffet was sparse, the food was dried out, and the baked chicked seemed to be left over fried chicken, in a sauce to refresh it. The only fried chicken was wings and 1 or 2 thighs. And to top it off, we had to wait , and wait, and wait for somebody to take our money.

I called this place and was put on hold for about five minutes so I hung up and called back. When I did reach someone she could STILL NOT answer my question and was laughing saying she was sorry. I think some good customer skills trainging are necessary.

This was my 1st time going there & believe me, it will NOT be my last. I stay approximately 65 miles from there, but I don't care. The food was excellent, the place is clean, the banquet room is sooo lovely, & the staff was polite, WELL MANNERED, and caring. The atmosphere there is loving & the owners are Superb!!!!!!!!! Next time I go, I will bring my whole family. Thanks Mrs. Hilda for your hospitality & your blessed talent for feeding us great food.

My wife and I love eating at Hilda's. It is a home cooked meal without having to drive to our parents house in Michigan to get it!

Was pleasantly suprised. This is your basic down home country food. Not much for show and finese like other restaurants (but thats not what is most important really) but Ms Hilda does just good 'home cooking'. LOVE the Cornbread Cake - not what you think...you'll be suprised!

We had our Christmas meal prepared at Hilda's and it was wonderful! The collards were to die for! The rest was delicious as well. There was PLENTY of food too. I will be asking Hilda to cook for our family on many more occasions to come!

Reminded me of a mediocre cafeteria that you didn't have to stand in line for. Not that I dind't eat what was on my plate, but there really is nothing special about Hilda's food. I've read more than one person who raved over the mac & cheese...so of course I ordered it. Come on people! It's nothing more than boiled noodles mixed with a canned cheese sauce. You people need to get out more often and eat at better restaurants or you need to learn to cook good food at home. I got enough of Hilda's on a single trip...I don't need to go back.
