Captain Ratty's Seafood, New Bern

Excellent food, atmosphere and service. My family and I will definitely eat at Captain Ratty's again!

Very disappointed in my appetizer. Ordered an oyster appetizer to share - menu said 8 oysters. It looked like they cut one oyster into 8 pieces. Food was good.

I can't believe we've never eaten here before - it was so awesome! We dined on the roof under a full moon and an excellent warm breeze. The food was so fresh and tender; the best scallops I've had in New Bern. The drinks were perfect and so was the service. It really was quite an experience. I've lived here my whole life and I can't believe I've just now discovered this teasure. It was worth every penny!

We went to Captain Ratty's for dinner this past weekend and was pleasantly surprised. The food was fantastic and our waiter was excellent. I had the fish of the day and it was prepared exactly as I ordered it which is not easy nowadays. It was recommended to us by a local and we will definitely go back when we visit New Bern again.

Been to this place twice in 3 months we have lived in New Bern, NC. Got to be one of the best places in town to eat! Go here and you will be glad you did. Great food, excellent service, friendly staff. Highly reccommended !!!

My wife and I went to New Bern for a day trip. We had lunch there and it was great. I had the soft shell crab sandwich and she had the crabcake sandwich. The crabcake was fair, but the softshell crab was truly outstanding. Their corn muffins are good too. The restaurant we planned on for dinner was closed that day, so we went back to visit the Captain again. My wife had the softshell crab dinner and I had the low country boil. If the weather is good and you don't mind a lot of stairs, I recommend eating up on the rooftop.

Me and my husband love Captain Ratty's. Super good food, however we haven't always had the best service. Fun place to go.

If you're looking for great salads this is the place. My husband and I found this place on our 1st visit here and were so delighted to find salads with fresh gourmet lettuce and plentiful kinds of veggies. They're huge, enough for 2 to share. Plus, they have rooftop seating for a wonderful view of the city.

My husband and I found this little place on the corner last summer. We were walking downtown and decided to check it out. We were only going to order a drink and rest our feet, but watching the food pass by our table, we decided we had to eat there. The beef dip was very good and the crabcakes, well, I could write a poem about them. I highly recommend this restaurant

This is one of my favorite places to eat in New Bern. The atmosphere is nice. The price isn't too bad. The food and service are excellent! Another great thing is that they have a piano bar on certain nights; you can go upstairs and listen to live music and have drinks from the bar. It makes for a great evening and would definitely recommend it to others!
