Always look dirty and dark, overpriced. Trying to get by on past reputation. Food=fair

What a delightful find..
I ventured in off the street while in the area briefly looking a real estate and was delighted to have selected this wonderful restaurant. The crab cake fresh spring garden salad was wonderful. The creme brelee served with an exotic orchid was delicious and the tea was freshly brewed.

Had Thanksgiving Dinner at this resturant in a party of three. The staff failed to allow any time for our party to eat our appetizers before they tried to place our dinner plates on what would be considered a very small table. When attempting to explain that we did not have room on the table for these additional plates the staff left our table as if the building was on fire. The only thing I noted that was less professional than the staff was the management of this resturant. I would not recommend this place, nor would I ever eat here again. A Resident of Southport

What a holiday treat! The atmosphere was both quaint and interesting. The people (owner and wait staff) were a wonderful combination of being friendly and attentive but not bothersome. There was a great selection of unusual boutique wines. The food was interesting and absolutely delicious. Special requests were encouraged and totally respected. This is definitely a new favorite and definitely worth the 45 minute drive!

We've eaten here about 6 times total in the past year. Food is good but certainly not great. The biggest lacking part of this restaurant equation is poor service. One half of the experience in going out to eat is service and atmosphere, the other half being the quality of food. When one half of this equation is absent and the other half is only good doesn't make for a first choice in eating out. Save your money and go downtown Wilmington and spend it at The Deluxe restaurant. Food is five times better, service will blow you away and the price is close to The Pharmacy.

Complete disappointment! Was my second visit to The Pharmacy in Southport, NC. First visit was adequate in ordering the soup and sandwich lunch special... sandwich bread was overcooked and greasy but the portabella soup was delicious. Second visit was horrible. I had called two days ahead in order to assure they were serving portabella soup on the day I planned to arrive... wanted my mother to try it... was not being served upon my arrival date as requested. Ordered a roasted chicken soup that was identical to Progresso... ordered the pasta lunch special... received four raviolis with chewy crab... NO piece of bread... NO cracker... NO salad... nothing!... just the raviolis... $21 later. On top of this, the dish was so rich my mother only ate one ravioli and took the rest home in hopes her husband could choke it down. Adding insult to injury, the 'neck-tattoed' waiter failed to refill my water and lime upon request then near the end of the meal, he took my water glass... never to return. I ended up drinking my mother's untouched water. I won't be back.
