On September 3, 2011 my husband and I got married on the beach and our reception was at the Deck House. Everyone was satisfied with the service and the food was fabulous. We had a party of 12 members of the Weeding Party and everyone was overjoyed with the Deck House hosting our Dinner!
Thank You all for making night GREAT,
Kevin and Cindy Lomax
Me & my sisters family went to Carolina Beach last week, the beach was great and then we ate at the Deck House. I have eaten at this Resturant at least 20 times in the past, but this was the worst meal I have ever attemped to eat at this resturant. I had been looking forward to eating at the Deckhouse for about 2 weeks, I talked it up so much that my sister decided that we had to have the Deck house Oysters. I told her how good and how much I liked all the food that I had eaten at this place. The waitress told us that they had not had oysters in at least 3 month's. I was so dissappointed but proceeded to order something else. The Grouper Chowder tasted so bad, it was so strong that I thought it was left over from last week. The best thing we ate that night was the salads. We all ordered and most of this was left on the table. The Deckhouse needs to get different management or something because this was always the best place to eat at Carolina Beach but No More!!
My family had a very nice dining experience @ the Deck House on 08/17/2010. Staff all very friendly, clean and nice atmosphere! For appetizer we can the crab dip it was out of this world!! For our meal we had Steak and Crab legs all were delicious!! We will be back again!
Ate at the Deck House on 8/12 on the recommendation of another. The meal and service was the worst I have ever experienced. We also had to pay 18% automatic gratuity which was not earned. Appetizers: grouper chowder tasted like flour, Manhattan chowder tasted like it had been poured from a Campbell's can. Main course: Shrimp scampi with potatoes - shrimp over cooked, tough and oily, potatoes tasted like instant; oriental stir fry with shrimp and scallops - overwhelming soy sauce, the scallop was the only highlight in that it was tender; Flounder and fried shrimp with fries - how could they mess this up???; kids meal, chicken tenders - horrible, microwave type and not even white meat, No bread offered or served at all, Impossible to get a refill on Iced Tea and took 15 minutes to get check after we were done eating. Definitely overpriced for what you get! Save your money and try Sea Witch or Michael's, both consistently Great.
Just had a great dinner at the Deck House. Food was delicious. Tonights special was premium bottles (which included all imports) for $2.50. Had a few Guiness on that deal. Also enjoyed the baked shrimp and crab special in addition to steak. Went splitzies with my husband. I'd recommend a visit. The exterior and interior are pretty cool. We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott and walked. Our waiter was a cutie too. Enjoy
I just ate at deckhouse tonight with my husband. They changed there menu around a little and it was great!! We had grouper and crab dip and the french onion soup was to die for!! service was great and they were packed! way to go deckhouse team!!! A++
