the crab pot is high priced i have worked in the kitchen there are ants and mosquitos and roaches every where the owner doesnt allow you to take breaks even if you are caught up with the orders and he only pays 6.00 an hour which is illegal since minimum age is 6.55hr. also they dont have posted the nc state law they have a sign on the kitchen door that says slaves quarters and they take it litteraly since you are not allowed to take breaks not even long enough to smoke a cigarret and there seafood well all they do at night is put ice on it they dont even put it in the cooler and if you are allergic to some kind of seafood dont eat there because they bread all seafood and chicken except the squid and the clam strips in the same bowl of breading they also bread the tomatoes and the zucchini fries in the same breading and if something has mold on it they either cut it off or scrape it off and serve it any way and the potatoes in the steamers are all nasty they are mushy and oozing out

Not good! The grease used to fry (everything was fried) left a rotten taste in my mouth. Everything was dripping. It was very overpriced. I have had better meals at Long John Silver's. We will forever call it the Crap Pot.

Ate dinner at the Crab Pot. First timers, great food and service. I had the broiled flounder, and Zucchinni fries and fried green tomatoes. VERY GOOD!!! Doug & Glory McKenzie

Horrible food and service! Sweet potato flies were cold and limp. The restaurant does NOT have a good atmosphere - even for casual dining and well, I will NEVER go back there!

Overpriced, Overcooked, Over this place!
By Bree, 8/12/07
YUCK! We called to see if they had NON-fried seafood, & they told us that anything they had on their menu they could broil-GREAT! However, once we got everyone there it was a different story. Not only did they NOT have anything broiled, only like 2 items that weren't fried, those didn't even come with any sides. And I mean FRIED! Was their any meat in anything or was it only breading?!! Now the Fried Green Tomato's which are supposed to be really fried, are limp, mushy and just blahhh! So you pay 25$ for 1.0lbs of Crab legs (which are overcooked & rubbery) & u get NOTHING w/them. Everything else is an add on!! So by the time you add a salad or anything you are 65$ for 2 people!! And they need to check their scales, because I have never seen 1.0lbs be so tiny!! Then you have to PAY for any soda refills, YEP you have to PAY for refills. You don’t have to pay for Sweet Tea refills, however if you ask for unsweet tea, they give you sweet tea. No A/C, no water hazard signs (since the place floods), you order outside and pick up inside and then find a seat-no wait staff! If you don’t like smoking, don’t go here for food! No A/C, no ventilation, no class! So you figure, well I will just have a drink and it will all be much better, NOPE! The bartenders are up in arms if you ask for a mixed drink. The older bartender rolls her eyes and makes everyone else's before yours since yours is SO difficult (I had a strawberry daiquiri, which was 5$ for 6oz).The virgin drinks are the same price as alcohol! STAY AWAY! Go to Bonefish in Wilmington, you will spend the same money & like your food!
