Don t know what all the buzz is about. Food is BLAND...salsa tastes like watered down tomato paste, no flavor what so ever. El Cerro, Plaza Mariachi and Costa Real are soooo much better than this place. It was very clean, I will give them that, but there was no flavor to the food.
We stopped by this place while going to an auction in Wilmington. Just wanting something fast. Well we got a lot more. The food was soooo fresh. I felt like I was eating very fresh picked from the garden that moment and prepared food. I loved their salsa and had to take some home with me. The price was great. I am going there each time I make a trip to Wilmington.
I love love love la costa! I go there everytime I'm craving mexican. It is real authentic, really delicious food! My favorite thing to order is la costa burrito which is a super burrito and gives me the most bang for my buck. I've never had anything I didn't enjoy from their menu. The service is excellent, the atmosphere is laid back. Viva La Costa!!! Keep it up ;)
This is by far the best true and authentic Mexican restaurant in Wilmington. We go there at least 3 times a month. Welcome is quick and very courteous, servers are consistently attentive, food is very reasonably priced. Used to live in southern part of San Diego, and food is the same as you get in Mexico. Try the Borrego, Carnitas Michoacan (yum!), Seafood Molcajete and Fajitas...get the corn tortillas for the most authentic experience. Try the Orchata beverage to temper spicy entrees. We've tried everything on the menu and have not been disappointed once. Loyal patrons of three years and counting...
