Jimbo's Breakfast & Lunch, Wilmington

Greasy Spoon, all you need to know really. Pork brains are there, and so are all the most unhealthy people who eat in Wilmington. goes to show, if you always eat at greasy spoon you too become a big balloon. Staff is only as kind as the owner ALLOWS it seems he is a whip cracker of sorts to them every time I see them, they are all run ragged! Wait is long on weekends for this type of thing though!

Stopped in there Saturday morning on the way to Wrightsville beach as we were looking for a good local place to eat at...People working couldn't have been nicer and the breakfast was outstanding. I knew we had found a good place when everyone seemed to know each other and when Jimbo's wife found out we were from out of state and just passing through, she made it a point to make my two young daughters feel like a true local. Great place and we'll be back the next time we're anywhere close.

The food is good ole fashioned breakfast cafe type. I finish my plate everytime. Eggs over medium, bacon,country potatoes and toast. Water. Oh, the water is nasty! they need a filter on that tap. Nice servers, nice old guy at the cash register. They need to get rid of the smoking all together, I want to go in there late night but its full of smoke. Im sure Im not alone. But good food anyway.

Every time we come down to Wilmington, we HAVE to go to Jimbo's. They have the best food (their breakfast is even better than Cracker Barrel) and it's way cheaper too. The staff is usually really nice too. We just went there this morning. Got awesome food and good coffee -- and I wasn't hungry again till supper. Highly recommend you go there. Only complaint is the building is small so you sometimes have to wait, and their parking lot can be hard to park in. But if you don't mind waiting, their food is to die for.

Wilmington would be lost after midnight without Jimbo's. Delicious breakfast and lunch fare. A bit smokey for non-smokers at times. Service is great and food is good for price.

Good breakfast at odd hours. Beats the national chains any day of the week and is one of the few places in town you can find Red Eye Gravy
