It's Good Mood Food! I ordered the Chicken Parm and it was delish. The sweet tea tasted like like sweet tea. The waitress was awesome. I love this place.

I have to be completely honest. I have been to Luigi's 4 times now. I have had about 50% luck with it. The first time I went, I ordered eggplant parm & it was pretty good...until that night when I went to eat the 1/2 I took home & found the eggplant was spoiled! Not happy. You can't tell me the chef didn't notice! It was completely discolored!!!! The 2nd time, I ordered that pasta purse (?) dish. It wasn't great. They charge WAY too much to add on any chicken, shrimp, etc. The 3rd time was good. I ordered caesar salad & chicken parm. This last time though, was the last straw. No more chances. I ordered The IL Feast & french onion soup. The soup & bread w/ oil mix was really good. The main dish looked great. The first bite of the chicken, I literally had to discreetly spit out, as it was FAT. Then, I went to try again & there was like...parchment paper on my chicken!!! Needless to say, I lost my appetite. They offered to get me something else, but I had to cancel my order because I was so genuinely disgusted & had ZERO desire to see what I'd experience next. So, NO, I do NOT recommend Luigi's. They could have at least offered me a dessert or something...maybe I wouldn't be so bitter. Fayetteville businesses don't have much competition, so they don't really seem to care if they rub a customer the wrong way, whether it be in food prep, customer service, or professionalism in general. They take advantage of the soldiers & don't typically show customers a lot of respect. No more Luigi's for me.

Very over-priced for the quality of the fare and the atmosphere. Some of the food resembles that of frozen pizzas or canned pasta in the grocery store. Beer selection is not much different than any other bar in town with the exception of being more expensive. The wine list is impressive with the exception of the by-the-glass menu. The selection is VERY limited and pedestrian, and over-priced as well. In most cases the whole bottle can be bought elsewhere for a third of the glass price. On the plus side the staff is polite and knowledgeable.

The first and last time I ate there, I ordered the mussels, one of my favorite things to eat. The waitress brought me a bowl with maybe a dozen mussels, 3/4 of which were still closed. I pushed the closed ones to the side of the bowl as the waitress watched and asked her to take it back. When she asked why, I politely informed her that one of two things happened; they either weren't cooked long enough (which is unlikely) or they were dead to begin with and the fact that the cook missed this part scared me a little. Then she suggested that I could open them and eat them. I asked her to take them back instead. She asked if I would like another order of mussels...which I politely declined. Try to kill me once, shame on you....try to kill me twice? Not likely....

I don't normally write reviews but when I read the 3 Star below, I had to object. The food here is exceptional. The Ribeye Marsala with Tuscan vegtables is awesome. The prices are resonable for the amount and quality of food and the atomosphere and service are definately above the grade. I have eaten here 100's of times and have NEVER had a bad meal or experience. I guess it's true...you can't please everyone. If you are looking for an exceptional meal and prompt curteous service, I would definately suggest Luigi's to anyone.

Once my husband and I tried this place, we were hooked. Now it is always one of our top places to dine (There's only 3 in fayetteville, in my book). Very family friendly, great for a dinner for two, even great for a business dinner or party. This place provides just the right amount of elegance and class to it that anyone can enjoy. Not to say anything too badly about other Italian restaurants, no others compare to Luigi's! I am always greeted at the door. The waiters are well versed & ever so kind & helpful. There was a special I had once before but they didn't offer it anymore, my waitress worked through the order with me and we agreed on something that made me more than happy.....the only thing that was changed was the cut of steak otherwise the order was pretty much the way I had it the first time. To know that they take that special bit of time to make the diner happy....you know this place is great. I just want to say WHAT A AWESOME job these people do to create and run such a great restaurant. I can never complain here! It is a restaurant that I will always remember!

Actually, they do have a light menu, you just have to ask for it.

I've been to this restaraunt twice. This restaraunt wasn't all it was cracked up to be. Most recently, when my fiance and I walked in, the hostess was there along with (presumably) the manager. He stared at my fiance's chest for a while before he actually looked at either of us. My fiance is petite and looks younger than she actually is, (22) so this 40+ man taking mental snapshots of her was particularly creepy. Apparently this is normal for him because he then looked up and greeted us. Our server was good, but was were seated by a family with some rambunctious little kids who came to our table occassionally to say hello or show us something or to tug on my chair. I don't count this too negatively; families have to eat too - that's not the restaraunt's fault. The food wasn't bad, it was warm and came out in a timely manner, the server was courteous and we had a nice table for two in the corner. The menu lacked a diversity you typically find in restaraunts. No 'lighter' alternatives. While I'm fine with a pound of cheese on my dish, or having it prepared in a cup of butter, we were surprised to find that there were no alternative dishes that had the flavor based on seasoning and prepared in olive oil. There were no whole wheat pasta options either. The food was pretty standard, the manager that evening was a perv the atmosphere was pleasant and our server was probably underpaid and working hard to fix that - to the benefit of the clientele. In the future we will probably opt for a chain alternative when we want Italian food in fayetteville.
