Samurai Japanese Steak House, Fayetteville

The most rude managers, ever. They were loudly rude to their staff, they made others who sat at my table pay for a non-native english speaker's mistake, and the food did was not any better than the competition's but definitely more expensive. Don't waste your time.

Me and my family just left this place and let me just say the service sucked. The waiter and hibachi chef were awesome but the owners were very rude. The chef just barely had time to place our food on our plates, when the owners came thru giving us take out plates for our food. We didnt even get the chance to enjoy our meal. I paid my money just like everybody else did and i dont appreciate being treated this rudely. This was my first and my last time coming to this resturant and I will be spreading the word on how ya'll really treat a paying customer!!!

We had a group of 8 we had no wait received a table as soon as we walked in. The service was great had no problem our chief he was fantastic as were all others I seen. Kids enjoyed the flames and the prices were very reasonable all in all a great place for single and family groups.

While the food and service was prompt and polite. My husband let the wait staff know in advance that his steak would have to be cooked seperate due to a shellfish allergy. They said that was no problem. While we were enjoying our main course he was eating his rice and vegetables waiting on his steak. As we were finishing up our entree's he got his steak. By then they were practically pushing us out of there with the bill and boxes. My husband paid the bill and continued to eat. Meanwhile the owner was pacing back and forth and giving us ugly looks. Keep in mind that my husband made a reservation, just got his main course, and etc. The owner says "I very busy can you just leave??" He completely made a scene and was very rude! It is a shame because the food was very good, but personally I have never been treated so horrible at a restuarant!

Love this resturant. I enjoy the special care they take in treating their customers. I have a specific food allergy and they cooked my meal in the back as to not risk any contamination. I would recommend this place hands down. The staff is caring from the owner who came out to make sure my meal was satisfactory to the waiters. Great place to eat, Lots of food and wonderful service.

I have lived in fayetteville for over a year and have tried all the Japanese steak houses, and Samurai is by far the WORST of them. I did not try the sushi but had the steak and shrimp hibachi; YUK what are you serving, I could have done better making my own rice and they go way over board on the sauces. Would have been better if I ate at miyabi's instead of this joke of an establishment.

... I moved to NC a year ago... I've tried the establishments which specialize in sushi... Samurai has been my favorite... not only are they clean & friendly... but, they're items are delivered with the mouth & eye in mind... the spicy tuna cocktail is one of the best things I've had the opportunity to try... it's a favorite that I order each time I return along w/ the 'don't make me cry' ( a specialty roll in their menu)... they've always been more than friendly... which is why I come back... & the specialty scallop roll is one of my favorites... the warm scallops are placed atop your roll & yes... it IS messy... but delightful... I love this place for many reasons... & I will come back always!

a great place! you get tons of food for the price u pay...and its fun entertainment as well...great friendly staff. we had one bad waitress on a visit but she ended up gettin fired and sent home before we even left :) if ur in it for the fancy building and decorating then try myabi but if ur in it for the food def go to Samurai!

HATED IT!!! We reserved ahead of time and requested a large hibachi table upstairs (early in the day. Although the majority of our party was there, we were told we would need to wait for the total party to arrive before they would seat us. Finally, once we were seated, they totally screwed up our request, and seated our party at TWO tables downstairs, as opposed to the larger hibachi tables upstairs. We were NEVER given an sushi order sheets at all. The waitress took our orders. It took them FOREVER to bring the sushi and sashimi orders to the tables. It was not brought out to us at the same time. I sat and waited for over thirty minutes for my sushi, while the rest of the table was already eating their sushi, and their hibachi dinners as well. The spicy scallop roll was a JOKE! It was poorly rolled, and totally fell apart! One of the sushi chefs had apparently taken a regular sushi roll and placed the spicy scallop mixture on top of the roll instead! It tasted like a spicy scallop roll made with an sriracha and mayo (COULDN'T TASTE THE FLAVOR OF THE SCALLOPS AT ALL)! The Miso Soup was a JOKE also (chicken broth with a couple of mushrooms thrown in). The Hibachi chef was also dissappointing. The waitress was running around confused and sweating, bringing orders very late into the meal. The house chardonnay wine was FOXHORN!!!! Two of our guests ordered totally different items, but were given the same thing! THE HOSTESS who greeted us was dressed distastefully in blue jean shorts, and a low budget top which accentuated her obvious boob job and unprofessional attitude. This restaurant DOES NOT SERVE AUTHENTIC SUSHI! THEIR SERVICE IS THE WORSE I WILL NOT RETURN AND I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT TO ANYONE!

We LOVE the Samurai!! It is so amazing and the best sushi we have ever had!
