Two for two. Ate there twice over the past month, someone in the party got sick both times. Last time it was diarrhea, this morning after getting take out from there last night, my teenage son has thrown up 5 times. First time 5:45am today (Christmas morning) violent projectile vomiting. I think it's time to give old GW a rest for a year or two. There's only a 237 other Chinese restaurants in Charlotte. There's bound to be one that doesn't make us sick every time we eat there. Shi Shi for the memories!

We went to the Great Wall of China South at the turn of the year and were deeply disapppointed. They only had a limited menu and it was not good at all. It reminded me of all the take-out Chinese places around town. And after suffering through a less than good meal, no fortune cookies. I guess the economic down turn has hurt them as well.

As a person who has grown up in Charlotte, I have been going to the Great Wall since it's inception more than 20 years ago. From day one, nothing has changed about their food or service, because their ownership is so amazingly solid, and places the highest standard on a quality experience for the customer. Lunch is always a reasonable price (2 people for $12-$15), and dinner (2 people for $30-$40) is huge portions, and that food re-heats so well. I took my fiance there on our first date, and she had never been there. Now it's a demand that we go there at least once a week. Visit this place, and you'll be a regular before you know it!

the wait staff passed us over in favor of others. they dushed out a vegetarian meal with the same utensils used for meat. waiter through the take-out box at us.

I LOVE this PLACE !!!!!!

I was introduced to this wonderful place by my ex-in laws. It was the best thing that they ever give me. Walking in this place is like walking in heaven. I would and have driven across country for this food. So to say that you have to be special for me to take you here well that goes without sayin. So if you want to know have important you have to be to be taken here by me. I suggest that you check it out for yourselve and then decide how important someone has to be for you to take them back with you. To bottom line for you if you like chinense food then go anyplace if love chinese food GO TO GREAT WALL OF CHINA.....you won't regret it.

Great Wall of China South

I have been eating at this restaurant for years and cannot believe no one has rated it before. It has some of the best food I have eaten in a Chinese restaurant. Their chicken with cashew nuts is always fresh including the cashews.
The restaurant itself is beautiful with gorgeous salt water tanks of beautiful fish.
The service is superb wether it's takeout or eat in. I would recomend the place highly.
