Baoding, Charlotte

I have eaten Chinese Restaurant food from Houston, Las Vegas, LA, San Francisco, Hong Kong, NY, and Mainland China. I think by now I have some great knowledge in Chinese cooking. I think some of the good review here has been was written by the Baoding themself! Baoding by far is one of the WORSE, EXTREMELY OVERPRICE, LOW QUALITY, and POOR TASTING Chinese Restaurant food I have eaten. Even though we came hungry before we ate at Baoding, we still think the food there was awful. We order some egg roll, spring roll, hot and sour soup and steam shrimp dumpling as appetizer. The egg roll and spring roll was oozing grease all over the dish. The hot and sour soup was all ok but nothing ordinary. The dumplings were so mushy that the dumplings skin was breaking apart from the shrimp stuffing. As for the entree, we order the Special Flounder. The fish I order suppose to be crispy and (temperature)hot but it came out cold, salty and soggy. The Special Crispy seafood noodles with crab, shrimp, and scallop dish has zero crab in the dish at all. The waiter explains that they did not put the crab in the dish because the customers complain that Baoding uses imitation crab. (But why in the hell did the menu states that they have crab in the dish? If you cannot deliver the items on the menu then do not put them on the menu at all! ) The noodles were not even crispy but soggy. The Asian Beef I order was decent but too salty. It seems to me that who ever cooked the food did not bother to sample the salt levels before the dish left the kitchen. The decor, and color schemes were out of place, nothing matches what the theme of the restaurant. The only thing about good restaurant is that the service from the wait staffs. I would not go back to eat Braoding again nor recommend anyone to eat there. Save yourself some time and money- go else where! The level of food you get at Baoding makes Panda Express look good!

This is definitely not your normal local Chinese restaurant. The food is excellent and the portions are large. I have tried many different dishes, and have yet to be disappointed. Additionally, although I've had to wait for a table at lunchtime, once seated, the service is quick and efficient. This is a great place!

The employees are so friendly and lovable enjoy each visit. Great atmosphere. The food is excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely by far, the best chinese food in Charlotte. Superior service, clean and fresh, fresh food! Nothing bad to say about this place. Been eating here for years. Doyourself a favor and try it!

This is if not the best one of the best Chinese restuarants in Charlotte. I've order their take out at least once a week and it's always excellent! Their restuarant is very nice also. Highly recommended!

This is a high class Chinese restaurant with excellent service and outstanding food. We've been eating there for 6 years and it just keeps getting better and better. They have updated their menu and the food is excellent. It is higher priced than others, but the food is better than any I've been in before. PF Changs can't hold a candle to Boading!!
