Portofino's Ristorante Italiano E Pizzeria, Charlotte

Overall Portifino's (Park Rd.) is OK... The waiter we had was pushy and rushing us to get moving, until about the 4th time when he finally left us alone for a couple of drinks and some conversation before dinner. This is not a good place for a date or a business dinner. The Veal Marsala was also OK - a little tough and very salty. The house Chianti was excellent! The price of dinner was OK. I do not go back to restaurants that are OK. When spending my hard earned $$ I prefer to go to places that are GREAT! Maggiano's food and service is much better for the same $, though it is more difficult to get in due to the long lines... I guess that should tell you something?

Located in a shopping center, I didn't expect too much. However I was very pleasantly surprised by the nice atmosphere of Italian music, the overwhelmingly nice staff, and delicious pizza. Two thumbs up.

The grilled salmon salad is really good here. My boyfriend is part Italian and an overall picky eater but really loves there cheese pizza here as well as their baked ziti. Just stay away from their house italian dressing. It's more along the lines of thousand island.

This is my favorite Italian place in town. The food is always great and we can eat a big meal with a salad for under $25. Both locations are awesome. Occasional wait on the weekend. PRO: Inexpensive and yummy CON: Bad waiting area - too little

Of all the local Charlotte pizza and pasta places, Portifino's is the best. The wait is usually pretty short at peak times, otherwise you can get right in, and the service is excellent. Try the Baked Ziti, it's my favorite.

My husband and I frequent this restaurant as often as possible. They have several different locations. Any location has great food (especially the pizza) and service.

Excellent food and great atmosphere. You will have great experience at Portofinos. The wait staff was very professional. I would recommend them highly.

Just make sure you don't eat lunch if you are planning to go here for dinner!! The portions are huge!! Family owned business, they have several locations.. I'm not a big pizza eater but I love their pizza!! I recommend everyone try this place..Kid friendly as well

The only Pizza in Charlotte I will ever eat!

They are the best in town and I know cause I've been going to them since they first opened on Eastway Drive. I take family from out of town and townies that haven't been blessed with Portofino's and they all are surprised by the excellence and quality. The pizza even has the oil that is supposed to run down your arm when you eat a hot slice. Just like home( Brooklyn NY). The pasta and italian fare is to die for. One thing i would like them to make is some zeppoles. When that happens there will be no reason for me to go home for Pizza!!!!
