Blue Restaurant & Bar, Charlotte

Wonderful dinner. Staff from valets to manager could not have been nicer. We had lamb tagine, which was superb. I mentioned to the manager that we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary, and he sent a bottle of champagne to accompany our desserts. Waiter was impeccable, too. Yes, it's pricey, but for a special occasion, why take chances?

The food was WAY overpriced. It tasted ok, but that didn't make up for the fact that we waited well over an hour to get our car out of valet ( yes we timed it)! We complained twice and both times the valet service gave us shotty excuses...and kept asking what our car looked like and what our keys looked like. We asked to speak to a manager who did not even give us the time of day and went to yell at the valet guy rather then apologize or offer us complimentary desert or drinks. I wrote a letter of complaint because I was so dissapointed but still no response. They can't waste their time to answer a letter of complaint so then I decided I would waste my time and write a review. Go to Zinc or Capital Grill or just about anywhere else, they know how to treat people and the food is worth the price!

My husband and I love to eat here before going to the theatre or for other special occasions. The foodie in me is always in heaven. In the Duo of Wild Boar dish, every part of the dish is amazing -- even the rainbow swiss chard. My husband is a vegetarian, and this is one of the few restaurants he can get a truly tasty dish. The menu changes often enough that neither of us is ever bored. The wait staff are incredibly attentive without being invasive, and they have been exceptional at helping us pace our meals so we always get to the show on time.

I loved this restaurant. The atmosphere was so classy and unique and our server was super knowledgeable. He knew everything, suggested great things, and then gave us a free dessert because "we were so cool." It made the experience so inviting.

Great food at a great big price... ;) Go ahead and splurge... You'll be glad you did. (Great ambiance and wonderful food in Uptown Charlotte.)

An amazing place to eat, drink and relax. From the decor to the music, the food and the ambiance, there is no nicer place to go for a special occasion or just a Wednesday night out on the town. I have been going here since it opened and every time I visit, it never fails to impress. Wednesdays and Fridays, Steve Engler and his band play live jazz in the bar, but they have live music Wednesday through Sunday. The calamari is perfect, the wine list is impressive and so are their signature drinks. I recomend the Flirtini (champagne, chambord and pineapple juice...yummy!) or the espresso martini. Whatever you have, you are sure to love it.

This place is too small and too expensive for the portion size. It's a great place to socialize with the rich and famous but if you just want to get away for the night..don't go here!! The drinks are ok but I've had better!! The entrees are to expensive and not at all tasty.

I've never, ever, ever had a better meal. Thank god I wasn't paying, as the place is astronomically expensive, but .... if you want to REALLY wow your date, or for a special occasion, this is the place to go. The chef is fantastic, the food is high-class fare.

In my opinion this is the best fine dining restaurant in Charlotte right now. The food is outstanding- love the filet and the crabcakes. Great ambiance as well.

Love the food here. Don't care how much the entree`s are!!! It's worth it. Enjoyed every morsel---to die for.
