Dorian's Deli & Grill, Matthews

I love Dorian's and eat there every chance I get. They have wonderful soups and specials (be sure to check out the menu board). My favorite soups are the lentil and potato. They also have terrific burgers and sandwhiches. Don't miss the cookies at check out either (I love the chocolate chip and what I call 'birdseed' cookies). Everyone there is terrific too! Not a bad thing in site at Dorian's!

This is what good Greek restaurants are about in Charlotte/Matthews...family-run, clean, and good, fresh, inexpensive food! I never even liked tuna melts until I tried it at Dorian's!! Now I get it all the time! The homemade chips are reallllly good, especially with their homemade Ranch (as mentioned in the previous review)! This the kind of lunchtime spot where you can order anything and expect it to be good. They have daily specials and everything from typical American to Greek specialties like pitas and souvlaki. If I could take off a half point, I would, because I'm not too fond of the burgers - the only thing that seems to be frozen/pre-made...but everything else more than makes up for that one little thing. Oh yeah and expect GOOD sweet Southern iced tea!!
