My husband and I love Pizza Spiga.....given we always take advantage of the delivery service which is repeatedly prompt and friendly. The only complaint that I have ever had is that I cannot find and online menu to save my life. We have some of the oddest orders including calzone with chicken, broccoli, pepperoni, olives, extra ricotta and so on. They always accommodate our unique tastes and service is excellent. Hopefully we can find the time soon to go in and sit down for a meal.
We live nearby & my husband sometimes picks up pizza from there on the way home from work if I'm not home to cook. I'm not trying to be rude, but this is the worst pizza I've ever eaten. Frozen pizza is better. And the service is lackluster at best. The girl who took my husband's phone order a few times was pretty snotty. I told my husband not to buy from there even though it's convenient. Just drive 2 more miles down the road to Big Guys Pizza where the food is *awesome* & the service is friendly. Supposedly the ownership changed sometime last year but the pizza has never been good (I've eaten there maybe 3 times in the last 5 years, hoping the bad food was just a fluke -- it wasn't).
Ok, first off, to the other reviewers, what time did you get there? The lunch buffet ends at 2. If you walk in at 1:30, they're not going to re-stock it just for you. This I have found out at other places too. I've NEVER had a bad experience there. I've gotten there before and been told that the buffet wasn't going to be re-stocked BEFORE we sat down and ordered. Other than that, the food has always been great!
Ate there a couple of weeks ago. Buffet was poorly stocked. Asked for fresh breadsticks and pepperoni pizza but the staff (best described as surly) said no I had to eat what was there first before anything new was put out. The waitress said she would ask a manager then disapeared for 15 minutes. The manager was disrespectful and argumentative. They said they would refund me the cost but never did. Please avoid at all cost. Angela's is just up Idlewild and is much better.
We tried Pizza Spiga one day after constantly getting coupons in the mail. We got there the building was dead, except for a large group, and two teenage girls sitting up at the front with there feet propped up drawing. We thought the food looked decent.. we were VERY WRONG They had some spinich soup that was pretty much green water with frozen spinich floating in it. The food tasted like tree bark. We finally tracked down the waitress and told her the food was horrible, she told us she would get the manager. After waiting 15 min we walked up to the counter to be directed to a brunette girl who had to be 16 at the oldest. Who rolled her eyes and yelled to the cooks that we didn't like the food, and still made us pay for the food.. even though we showed the plates that still were full of food. The Soda was about the best thing there!
