Great Food and Great Service. What more do you say? There for lunch and happy we went.

I give this place 4.5 stars. I had the crab cake salad and it was by far the best crab cake that I have ever had. I cant say that it was perfect but it was very close. I would highly recommend this place. I look forward to trying other dishes.

We had the best time and a great meal at Goombays! We went to Goombays on the advice of the front desk clerk at our hotel. It turned out to be a good recommendation. We sat at the bar and both the bartenders, Michelle and Scotty, were the best. our apps were super, we had a seafood sampler, crab dip and stuffed Jalapenos. For dinner I had the S.W Crab Cake Salad. The Crab Cake was all crab and the salad had a spicy Ranch Dressing, highly recommended. My husband had gouper kingston and loved it. Our friends went for steamed shrimp and loved it. Fun place, good drinks (try a goombays smash) and great service.

1st time diners. Just finished a fun and tasty dinner at Goombay's. Goombay's came recomended by someone who has not visited in years and I think he would stand by his positive remarks. The decor was fun for kids and adults. The staff was great with everyone. The food is great for the price. All in all a great choice while in the Outer Banks.

We go every time we are there. The restaurant itself is alive with some of the craziest ceiling that I have ever encountered. The food is normally good, avoid the crab cakes, the wait staff is always pleasant and the price is about what it should be for the amount of food. Get unlike some of the other places you run across and they have a good selection at the bar as well including some very interesting drinks.

We visit OBX at least once a year, and every time we make sure to stop at GOOMBAY'S. The Goombay sampler is killer!!! The food is always great and you always get a smiling server. Support the locals, they keep that town running.

Excels at some dishes, others are mediocre. I would definitely pay a visit to Goombay's and try one of their specials which are always excellent. Yes, their crabcakes are not the best (overcooked, to a hard crust, on the outside), and now that you know that just don't order them. There were 6 of us, 4 of them teens and our dinner tab came to $140, tip included. Salmon special was excellent. Ribs were good, crabcakes (skip them), steak and mashed potatoes met the standards of a picky eater. Burgers were good. Nice selection of beer and wine. This is the second visit for us (forgot about the crabcakes last time), would return.

We love Goombay's! We always eat here whenever we visit the OBX. We really love the decor in the dining room. The daily specials are always new, fresh and unique. However, I always get the same thing - steamed platter of 3 items. They make their own tasty desserts. It is a place where many locals hang out. So if the locals are here year-round, it must be good.

i got crab cakes, which were expensive ($18) and not very tasty. you get a lot of food, however it all tastes the same, the put too much seasoning on everything.
