This has been a great find. My father loves to go when he's in town. It's a great little outside ice cream stand. I love the theme custards. We try to take family
and friends who come to visit to Goodberry's who've never been so they can get
to try this awesome custard.
Love their custard, but their customer service needs to improve. My wife and I showed up 5 minutes to close after racing there from home. As we pulled into the lot, there were two other cars and two people still in line. As we walked up the first person paid and stepped away with her custard. The young man behind the counter then proceeds to tell us that he can't serve us because they are closed but he will still serve the gentleman in front of us. We checked our watch which read 5 minutes to close but we walked away empty handed and very disappointed. When we got home we called the store and asked to speak with the manager. We explained that we were there before closing time but were turned away. She did apologize and said she must have been in back taking out the trash when we were there as she would not have turned us away.
I know some of these young kids don't like working until 10PM but that is your job. Seriously, how long does it take to put a scoop of custard in a cup or cone? In this economy it's not a wise move to turn away any customers especially since we will now be going to Maggie Moos or the new Pink which just opened.
Good Berry's is so, so good. It makes your soul happy. I just love it so much. So rich and creamy. I love the milkshakes..anything chocolate that is for me. And they have so many yummy treats. And if you are a sweets person this is the place to go. So good i think i may go get me some for lunch.
Cool little place. Walk up to the window, tell them your order, but don't plan on eating inside! You'll be eating in the freezers. They only have seating outdoors, which is appropriate considering their business booms mostly in the warmer seasons. The ice cream is good, or I guess I should say Frozen Custard. Expect soft serve, not anything to compare to the ever famous Ben and Jerry's or Cold Stone. You won't have many unique flavors, but it's the perfect place to go for a unique sundae. I like this place, and I would recommend it, but I like the choices and extreme sugary goodness of the other two above mentioned places. If you don't like rich, heavy ice cream, go for the light frozen custard at Goodberry's.
I work down the street and have been there 3 times, the first time I thought the cashier (who is an adult) was in a bad mood. These other times, she was RUDE, she does not say hi, thank you or have a good day, she will not even look at you (she stares at the street in the opposite direction, I wonder what that is about?), this last time she wanted to talk through the screen, but I stood there for a few minutes waiting for her to lift it, b/c I have been in customer service and I would never treat a customer like that, before I walked away she slammed the screen and anyone else had this? It was unbelieveable that she made it so obvious that she hates her job and suprised she is still there. On the good note Goodberrys sells itself!
