Go there often enough and you become one of the family. The service is good, but remember that sometimes what you give is what you'll get back. The food - especially the breakfast items - are terrific. They've been in business over 40 years because they're great at what they do. Try it!
They have the ability and reputation to climb back to the top. You could always count on an excellent meal at Reid's House. Again, the hard work of the founders is rapidly going down, whether it is the sanitation rating ,hygeine of the cooks and ridiculous waiting time to get a seat.Limited to 8 booths and an abundance of stools helps create the problem. You walk in and the same senior faithfuls come in to drink coffee all morning playing tag team on the booths as another senior comes in. One person to a booth and the stools,it limits revenue making and happy customers. They want the senior citizen discount and leave their dime tip and they're on their way. The irony,I go there occasionally and I'm a senior citizen.Last visit August 2007.
