My wife and I have been to Sal s NY Pizza & Grill twice and both times the food has exceeded our expectations. My wife had a calzone which was huge, hot, and enough for more than one meal. The dough was superb in texture and stayed edible for 2 days. The quality of the cheese was smooth, clean and fresh (unlike most restaurants which have ok to poor tasting cheese). I had a steak and onion sub on a bread that was crisp, perfectly toasted, and warm. The bread is a tie with Binh Minh (High Point Road, Greensboro, NC) as my favourite bread, ever. The portion of fries served was nicely suited to the sub and the seasoning was perfect. As a person who loves spicy fries, these just edged them out as my new favourite. For takeaway, we brought home a small pizza to eat later. It never made it home. Highly recommended.
