Went to Peking House for lunch on Sunday. Decided not to get the buffet and ordered food. Service was exceptional, but food on the other hand was not. I ordered General Tso Chicken and my friend ordered Sizzling Scallop & Beef. My General Tso Chicken was ok, but the Sizzling Scallop & Beef was more of a beef and veggie stir fry with one scallop cut into 3 pieces. As soon as the server returned we notified her and she said she would speak to the manager. She came back with two solutions, either we can have 50% off our bill or have the scallops re-made. Since we had appetizers and soup, we were getting quite full and decided to just have 50% off. When we got to the counter she notified the manager/cook to ring us out at the register. Not only was the manager rude to us, but denied we had only one scallop and told us we were wrong. His appearance was appalling. His apron was filthy and looked like it hadn't been washed, and his index finger was bloody. Needless to say, we won't be returning and I will not recommend this restaurant to any of my friends! - kicker, he gave us 4 dollars off our bill. - thanks for nothing.
I love this restaurant because of high quality.
Fresh food, quick time, and excelent service.
Owner is a nice guy and always gives his customers the best feeling about the restaurant.
My family go to this rest. frequently, and my husband loves the restaurant's dinner menu and lunch special. We never have to wait for a long time.
Food is ready quickly and they taste delicious.
Lunch special is the best value in town.
I would love to recommend you to this restaurant because it's one of the best Chinese restaurants in Morgantown I believe.
This is the best chineese restaurant in town. Everything is fresh, hot and it taste great. The people who own it are very friendly and work to make their customers happy. They also treat them right so they keep going back to the restaurant. I eat there once or twice a week. Their lunch specials are fast, affordable and fill you up.
Try them you will love them.
I moved out of state last year and have been searching high and low for a place that came close to as good where I live now. No luck yet. The sesame chicken is amazing. The thing I love the most is that when I eat there, I actually eat my vegetables because unlike most places, they still have a little crunch and they taste fantastic. The lunch special is a great value. I HAVE to go every time I come back to visit. Just a word of warning. I'm not a fan of the buffet they have on Sundays. But the normal lunch and dinner menu is fabulous.
Peking is a great choice for luch. The food is sooo good and the dishes are prepared fresh unlike at a buffet. The portions are very good for a lunch setting. I highly recommend the General Chicken or Sesame Chicken to anyone who goes. They can accomdate your dietary choices very easy..ie sauce on the side, choice of vegetables, steamed, etc...... The food is definitely ready quickly so that you can make it back to work in a reasonable amount of time. I think this is the best Chinese restaurant the the Morgantown area!
