By me, 10/29/11
My family just had king tut for dinner, well what we could eat. The food was terrible. The hotdogs were all smashed and had chili all smeared over them. The pizza was rock hard and it tasted like the tomato sauce was spoiled. The steak hoagies were gross they were covered with greese and the onions and green peppers were burnt. It tasted like it was about week old. Outside standing in the parking lot were two nasty looking guys, that keep going up to cars. We have ate there before and it just keeps getting worse. Last visit for us. I just hope we dont end up getting sick.

I use to go there quite a bit in the late 70's and early 80's and I loved thier pizza. They use to slice it in small pieces. Knowbody should be complaining about this place. If you had to move away because you could'nt find a job like me then you can complain.

I like their food..it is good most of the time..occasionally they screw up but not as bad as they used too..love the homemade buns and stuffed potatoes..but service is slow...but everyone should know that already! lol Prices are kinda high but people pay it anyhow.

I ordered valentines dinner for my family at King Tut i called it in at 5:51 pm they told me it would beready in 40 min, I went to pick up my food at 6:35 pm sat in line for 15 min no one came to my car so i went up to the doors that the women go into to get the food as one was going in i asked if this was where i was to pick up a call in order she said yes took my name asked what car i was in i showed her she said i will get your order. I went back to my car and waited and waited 7pm still no food 7:05 pm she comes to my car and said we are out of tater tots is fries ok i said yes i just need the food as soon as possible she said ok. I STILL WAITING !!!!!! 7:20 pm the food arrives i told the lady i hope all this food is still hot she said it had been under the lamps staying warm i paid the bill 67.99 went home took out the food and there was a food item missing, my god this was part of someones dinner so i called king tut the lady i talked to said it was her fault said she was sorry, I asked do i have to wait another 50 min in line for this item or will it be ready she said i will have it ready when you get here.Well same thing again sit there wait to be noticed then a lady comes to my car and said did they leave something out of your order i said yes and explained to her that i realized they were busy but i did not expect to sit in line for an extra 50 min waiting for my food when it was suppose to be ready in 40 min the time i arrived there and then have to make a 2nd trip out to get my food they forgot to put in my bag! She told me to call the manager i like to talk to people in person not on the phone about matters such as this.I lived in West Va for 11 years then moved to Va I always ate from King Tut and when i come in to see my son and grandchildren in West Va we eat at King Tut. Is this how you thank your customers for patronizing your buisness? The fried chicken was hard as a brick, Our stuffed potatoes were dry even the skins had harden, The kids chicken nuggets were hard and the rolls on the other 2 kids cheese burgers. The bread salads, and chicken parms sandwhich were good but that was it. I should have been compensated for this .

A bit of nostalgia
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/6/09
I love going to King Tut Drive-In not only for the delicious food, but for the experience. There are so few places left where you can eat at a real drive-in from the 1950's, and King Tut's food does not disappoint. I've been going there for nearly 40 years and will keep going until they close their doors. The pizza is unlike anything you can get from the big chain restaurants!

King Tut has an all-homemade hamburger even the bun is home made. It is the best hamburger I have ever eaten. I have worked all up and down the eastern cost. You will never find a bigger or better tasting hamburger then the all home made King Burger from King Tut.

King Tuts has great food and milkshakes. My famliy loves to eat there, alittle on the high side, but worth it. I love the pizza and the steak hogies the most.
