Savannah's Restaurant, Huntington

Listen to the other reviews. I wanted to go and enjoy a nice meal and some wine with my husband. Unfortunately I could not enjoy myself due to a snobby hostess, pretencious waitress and slow service followed by lackluster food. The restaurant is way overrated and over priced for the quality of food and service you receive. Needless to say we have no intentions of returning.

The snob factor at Savannah's will keep us away- I took clients there and they were not impressed. In fact, I was embarrassed. For these prices, we expected so much more. We will not be back.

First we were greeted by a snob of a hostess who tried to sit us by the door at the worst table in the house (her attitude started with or lack of reservations in an almost empty restaurant) I objected and we received a nice table Our waitress was great the wine was well stored and temperature was correct so the wine was good. Our appetizer was sea scallops they were good as well. The house salad and Greek salad were good. The duck confit however was a thigh and leg and was, well edible. The Sea Bass was covered in Sea salt to mask the horrible smell it was sent back and replaced with a mediocre ahi tuna. A free desert was served for the bad fish. All for $170.00 This place is run by want to be’s and by as well, way overpriced and poor overall quality and attitude.

The service was wonderful. The appetizers was fair. The meal was not hot, I would say it was mildly warm. I ordered a rack of lamb meal, there seemed to be something missing ( just can not explain what it is). There were others in my group that I went with and just about all of our responses were the same. Savannah's is way over-rated.

This place is very good food for Huntington, WV
