I was played by the sales Mgr, i tested him and he failed, i have purchased 4 harleys from this dealership 3 from Charlies and 1 from Benjys, sounds like they would appreciate my business but i was wrong. i called august 2011 asked for my salesman that has sold me the last 3 and was told by Rick (sales mgr) that he no longer worked there so i dealt with him AGAIN, he knows me very well as i do him, asked if he had a new 2012 FLHRC in white pearl, his response was yes, ill give you a great deal on it considering how good of a customer i am, i said ok, ill come down and talk, now also remember i purchase high performance upgrades, chrome, clothing and accessories from there parts dept and use the service dept for installs. I live between Huntington and Charleston so i went where i have never bought a thing @ HD OF WV first to ask if they had the 2012 also, wow.....they just got it in while i was in the showroom talking with my salesman, i found out what was all on this bike compared to Huntington's bike, guess what.....same thing, no difference at all, i got the best price i could get from The sales mgr there and told him i wanted the best price because i was going to Charlies after i got it but i was going to buy from either him or Charlies, he went to the back and brought me a price that i was very happy with, he asked me for a favor and that was to call them and ask what there best price was, i agreed and called but not where he could hear the conversation, Rick asked me to come in and sit down but i told him i was going to but was very busy, just please give me your best deal out the door, which should not be hard considering he knows ill buy one, he came back to the phone and gave me a price of.....now remember he knows me well as a great customer.....$3400 higher than WVharley on the exact same bike, i asked him if that was it and he said when i get there he will see if he can get me another $300-500 more dollars, i at that point told him where i was and what i was doing and told him bye. He then called back and said he would match the deal regardless because he did not want to lose me as a customer, lmao...... needless to say i dont like being taken advantage of and lied to.....by the way, he did tell me he has all his bikes marked up considerably due to trade ins and customers with credit issues......i bought it from WVharley and have recently even bought another one from them. I do miss the parts dept at Charlies, but it is also nice at WV harley......Tom McCallister was my salesman @ Charlies but as i said earlier he is no longer there and i spoke with him and guess WHY.........
I really enjoy every visit at Charlie's. I have a little girl who loves to visit the bikes and see all the new ones they have. I must say the customer service is outstanding when it comes to looking for a special gift. I have put Charlie's to the test. I went in and told the lady that $50.00 was all I had to spend. She was very positive and went the extra mile to treat me with the up most respect. We looked through the clearance and found more than I expected. She never looked down on me or acted like she wanted to rush me out the door. I had more than $50.00 but she didn't know that. I highly recommend Charlie's to everyone I meet and all my family members out of state. I feel you can advertise but word of mouth is much better advertisement especially when it was as positive as mine was. I'm so, looking forward to new changes for 2011. I want to wish everyone at Charlie's a wonderful New Year. Keep up the great work and I have purchased a lot of shirts and sent to family members in other states. Thanks for treating your shoppers equally from my experience. I enjoy all the updates by email, so please keep them coming.
This place is a ripoff and they think everyone that comes in there is retarded, one guy quoted me on a sportster and another quoted me on the same bike 15 mintutes later for 500 dollors more. They do not put the prices on the bikes and you got to play guessing games there. I walked out of there sick to my stomach. I hope they go out of business soon.
I have never know a dealership (car-bike-ect) in my life, that is just as friendly and happy to service your bike as they were to sell it to you..Just as friendly and willing to please after the sale as they were during the sale..thanks Charleys Harley Davidson..
