Mountain View Diner, Charles Town

I have not one bad thing to say about Mountain View Diner. The variety of food was out of this world. I have not one complaints about the management or staff. They were most professional. The quantity, quality, and the price of each meal could not have been better. If you like the home cooking experience, the Moutain View Diner Is THE PLACE to go. My husband and I ate every meal at the diner during our weekend stay in Charles Town. Why go exploring for restaraunts when we had already found the best. J. Saunders, Suffolk, VA

We ate there on a Friday evening. The parking lot was packed but we got seated right away. The hubby and I really enjoyed the food. Wanted dessert (they looked delicious) but after eating the meal, there was just no room! We will be back the next time we decide to drive to Charles Town.

My 4yr old got the pancakes and then needed to use the bathroom. I barely had enough time to get her in there when she had explosive diarrhea. That was the only time in her life that she has had diarrhea. My food was ok. Nothing to brag about. There's too many other places to go that are good, so this one is off my list. Plus I won't subject my daughter to that food again.

Breakfasts here have been excellent. Lunches and dinners are very good. I have had very well prepared dishes with a great variety to choose from, making this place likely the best deal in town for general dining. Many places in the area have been a disappointment and pricing rarely reflects this, so Mountain View is a refreshing change, especially for a local chain of restaurants. Service and quality are very consistent, and when in Frederick, I will stop by the local Mountain View there as well.

the food was good, portions were huge, the atmosphere was good, but don't sit too near the kitchen, the noise is unbelieveable! the only real gripe i have with the place is that the restroom (ladies, i assume the men's also) is like stepping into a gas-station bathroom. they are dirty (long neglected dirt) need repairs, need paint. even the door into the restrooms have several layers of paint color showing---get some paint, please!

We eat there all the time. They are open 24 hours a day and you can get breakfast all the time. The people are friendly and the price isn't too bad either. If you sit at the counter you can see all the food as it comes up so you can make a better decision on what to eat.

Decent food at a decent price. Always busy. Good place for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

My sister and I love this diner. They have great Greek food and the Mousaka is delicious. The soups are good and I recommend the place.

Well we will never ever go here to eat again. My son went with some of his friends early Saturday morning for breakfast on March 23, 2008 approx. 130am, he was the only one who ate french toast and sausage. By 6am he was having severe abdominal pains, vomiting and diarrhea. We ended up in the emergency room at Jefferson Memorial Hosp. that entire day. The stomach pains were so bad he had to be sedated. The doctor was able to confirm from all his symptoms that it had to be the sausage. More then likely surface bacteria. They told us that they have had several other food poisoning cases reported from people who have ate there this past year. So, you've been warned, use your own judgment. But WE and all our friends/relatives will not eat there ever again. Until the health dept. gives them a clean bill of health at the least. I myself back in Nov. noticed roaches crawling on the divider wall where they have their main beverage counter. Hopefully this information will help someone else from experiencing such a terrible episode of pain.

If you leave hungry, it's because you did something wrong. This is the go to place. Great selection and you get a lot.
