The newest Olive Garden to Charleston over in the Southridge area is the best Olive Garden I've ever been to. The atmosphere is wonderul and the way the restaurant itself is layed out is just inviting..I could stay in there all day! The food is outstanding although the last 2 times we were there the waitress didnt place our order for an appetizer..but we ended up getting it for free and we had to wait around 1 1/2 hours to get a table. The other time my seafood portifino that I ordered needed more sauce..and the waiter brought some extra to me..must of had new cooks working in the back because I'd never experienced that problem before. Its one of my favorite restaurants and I'd recommend it to anyone who loves italian food!
Since moving to their new local on Corridor G their food quality has dropped and prices skyrocketed. When at the mall I loved going there for several reasons including delicious grlic butter bread sticks and the salad with fresh parmesian grated over it (with ranch dressing though am allergic to Italian). Well at the new local the bread was dry-no garlic butter on any of it even others tables that we could see, the soup my husband loved was missing half the ingredients it formerly had and the prices much higher with portions smaller.
I had just moved back to Charleston and my mother, sister, my daughter, my soon to be hubby and myself went to the Olive Garden.....The Calamari was absolutely fabulous. I had a very well prepared salad, and a side order of pasta......everything was delish, and topped it off with a Triple Chocolate cake.......mmmm....
Think I may have to make another trip up there soon
The atmosphere is very friendly and the breadsticks are endless. It can be crowded at times but the food is superb. Average amount for a couple is around $50, including tip. Favorite dish that most people enjoy is the chicken fettucine alfredo. MMMMM...Tasty.
