Baja Bean Company, Staunton

I used to have quite an infatuation with the Baja Bean, but recently their service is so horrible I really never want to go back. We walked into Baja sat at the bar and literally had to wait 20 minutes for someone to acknowledge us and ask us what we wanted to drink, after showing I.D.'s and informing the server of what we wanted to eat/drink we never got what we ordered, NOT EVEN WATER. I think that this is absurd because the server that took care of us was for the restaurant side, the bartender who should have been taking care of us didn't say a word until we were leaving, never will they be getting my business again until they step up their costumer service.

I've been eaten at Baja about 4 times. The servers are usually helpful in suggesting a dish, and the food comes out really quick. This may be due to the fact that every time I have come there were 2-10 tables occupied. Presentation is good, and so is the taste. That said, every time I have come I did not enjoy the service. In fact, had there been at least average service I would have rated it a 4. It seems like there is no one making sure the staff is taking care of all of the customers. I pride myself in tipping well, and am easy to please. But having to wait for a refill while eating spicy food or to get my check cause the waiter is busy socializing with the other staff is unacceptable.

I'm changing my opinion of this place after out second visit. Server brought our food and left us flat! He was extremely preoccupied with stocking up on straws and making coffee, etc. The other server (the good one) had to finish out our table, therefore, he got the whole tip! Food was good, without the drunken salesman standing over us.

I loved it!!!! Great beer, hot salsa and great food. Topped off with great staff and a wonderful owner, Sarah is her name stop in and eat, drink and be Bob!!!

always dark and musty. if they turn on some bright lights then they may find where they need to clean. over rated. they ride on their reputation and not their commitment. From experience and observatons, they pad their tabs--so if you drink there don't get intoxicated, or your $30 tab will turn into a $60 tab.
