The Library Restaurant, Roanoke

I have eaten here and I think it is absolutely WONDERFUL! We had several servers for different courses and it was impeccable. It is an upscale restaurant so be prepared for the upscale pricing. But it is definitely worth it! I do believe that the distasteful comment left was not for this restaurant.

This place was TRASHY...literally! Our server had a DEAD tooth and his breathe smelled like moth balls. My cousin works in the kitchen and he said that the fauh graw was dispicable. For real...please don't eat hear.

This was one of the best restaurants I have ever experienced. It is very upscale so expect the prices accordingly. The food was superb and the service even better! I would recommend that the gentleman wear a jacket, however business casual was welcomed without the blink of an eye. This is one restaurant I will return to whenever I am in town.

This is absolutely the best upper end restaurant in the Roanoke area. In 20 years of eating there, we have never had a disappointment. Lowell, owner, and Gregory, maitre d', will make you feel like the honored guest you are when there.

My wife and I found The Library lived up to positive reviews. We spent a little over $100 for dinner with no drinks. For that price we got excellent food and service. Pricey? Yes. But food and service were in line with the price. You have to expect to pay more for first class.

We make a point to stay in Roanoke on our way to Baltimore to eat at The Library. The service, food and ambiance is wonderful. Gregory is an excellent host. For the special occasion, this is hard to surpass

The Library offers ambiance, service, and a dining experience which is not duplicated anywhere in this part of Virginia. The owner and management of this restaurant have set the standard which all upscale restaurants should strive to achieve, but most do not come close. This is an outstanding venue found only in The Star City of the South -- Roanoke, Virginia.

Overrated! The food is good not great, the seating cramped and the waiters a bit stuffy and very pricey for a strip mall.

The place to take someone very important to you. The food is excellent, the service is outstanding but unobtrusive, the wine list is great.
