Stirling is always a destination for me.

The Town of Stirling is really quite a gem of a town. There is the castle, of course, which I never tire of visiting. The restoration work in the Chapel and Great Hall are spectacular. I always leave with a better understanding of Scottish history. The cemetery below the Castle is worth a walk through. The town is quite nice also. I have stayed at a number of B&Bs, although never at the one right near the Castle parking lot...although it has always looked intriguing to me. The residents are friendly. I had some fun evenings at a couple of pub quizzes..although I new nothing about Rugby. It's a short train ride from Edinburgh, and a very walkable town. The sites for the Battles of Stirling, Falkirk and Bannockburn are near by, but fortunately William Wallace doesn't dominate everything. Have visited four times.
