Popular guitar makers Gibson have a retail store and lounge just one block off of Beale street, home to legendary blues maestro B.B. King. While guitar guys can worry about the humbuckers and tremolos, music buffs can walk into the lounge for live performances. Mini sofas, muted lights, and a small stage set the place for acts. Etta James, Darryl Worley, Wilco, and Blues Aid have enthralled crowds here and the venue continues to attract musicians. Make sure to check the schedule beforehand. Parking can be expensive.
