There may be a crowd at the door, waiting to get in, but don't let that stop you! - There are quite a few family-owned Mexican restaurants in Tidewater. Conveniently located in the heart of Kempsville, this was our favorite by far! Their food was consistently hot, fresh and yummy. Very reasonable prices. An inviting atmosphere including an outdoor patio. The smoking section was positioned far away from other seating. The staff was always incredibly welcoming, friendly, efficient. Service is FAST. Having grown up in S. Texas, I was a fan of authentic Tex-Mex cuisine. This fare is along those same lines. It's the real deal; not gourmet or some oddly Americanized version of Mexican food. The salsa and pico de gallo is fresh and home made! Truly a great place for the whole family.

Definitely one of - if not the best - Mexican restaurant in the area.
