Really good Korean food! Small and spartan on the inside, but you're there for the food. I had chicken bulgogi and it was spicy and awesome. It came with 10 different kimchee like sides. It's not cheap for dinner, but you get a ton of food. I would definitely go back and recommend it to a friend.
This was a great restaurant with a steady stream of customers. We had the steamed dumplings with meat and vegetables, Jap Chae(clear vermicelli noodles pan-fried with shredded beef and vegetables), LA Galbi( sliced beef short rib) and Bulgogi(finely sliced tender beef marinated in soy sauce and sesame oil)...all the recommendation of one of our lunch partners who lived in Korea for some time and knew the food. It was absolutely delicious and they brought out to the table a bunch of their accoutrements with our dishes. What a great experience :o) I'm already planning my next trip back. The service was great and the restaurant was clean.
I go to Han Woo Ri quite a bit and always try to get people who haven't experienced Korean food to go as well. I'd have to say they have a good variety of the more commonly eaten Korean dishes to choose from. The are generally closed on Monday's so it can be a bummer if you have a taste for Korean food and get there and find the closed sign out. They are open the rest of the week though. The owners of Han Woo Ri have come and gone a few times in the last couple of years that I've been going there. So far each new owner has kept the menu the same and the food just as good as the last. I always enjoy the conversation with the owners, they are friendly and they aim to please every time. I would highly suggest this restruant to anyone looking to try something new. If it's your first time there spend the extra money and get either Bul-Go-I or Kal-Bi. They are well worth the price and will be easy for the first time customer. I'm not sure about the current owners but I know in the past they have had Karaoke there. It's great for private parties. We had a going away party for a friend of mine there and sang karaoke. It was a blast!
