Ensenada Mexican Restaurant, Virginia Beach

I was in this place Tuesday 2-19-2013 for lunch walked out the door the concrete slope from the door to the sidewalk has hunks missing and I found myself on the sidewalk right outside that door, 2 men walking up to go in for lunch asked me if i was ok and what happened and help me to my car...not one person from this place came to see if i was ok...the next day I went to the Doctor, was told I was very lucky it didn t break..but I have a very very bad sprained ankle...the right foot...the left is hurt but not as bad...this needs to be fixed before someone else gets hurt..110.00 for a BOOT plus Doctors visit and XRAYS...was a very expensive lunch.

This is the one and only mexican restaurant who makes the BEST enchilada sauce for their tamalies i have had in any mexican restaurant around here ! yea !

My family and I have been going to Ensenadas for years now. Every week! We absolutely love it! The food is great, the service is impecable, and we know everyone who works there by name now. I think I have had just about everything on the menu and I have never been disappointed. The owner always comes by our table and talks to us. It is an excellent restaurant and I always recommend Ensenadas to my friends. Try it, you will love it!

This restaurant is FILTHY! The food was horrid, and the server took offense that I didn't want to box my disgusting food and take it home. Kept making comments. Will never eat there again, and the health department may be paying them a visit soon.

The food was EXCELLENT. Unfortunately, the staff ruined our whole dining experience. We were rushed through our entire meal, including having our plates snatched RIGHT OUT OF OUR HANDS before we were through. The restaurant wasn't even full, but we felt like they couldn't wait to get our money and GET US OUT!!!!! DO NOT eat here unless you want your dining experience to last 15 minutes. Not a good characteristic to have in an economy where the average family doesn't get to out very often! There are a WHOLE lot of other Mexican restaurants at the Beach!

This place is by far the best Mexican Rest. that you will ever go to in the Hampton Roads area. I have been in the area for 10 years and have not been to a Mexican Place with great food and service.

This place was pretty darn good! Not as good as places out west - but way better than Plaza Azteca garbage and Guadalajara. Chips and salsa are REALLY good!

I am from California. (They have good Mexican food there.) For $6.00 you get a platefull of food. the burritos and Enchiladas have maybe a 1/4 lb of chunks of meat in them. Not the shredded kind you normally expect. The atmosphere is casual. It's not high end at all. The Service is great. I go there for the food and the prices. an added bonus they have some VERY hot hot sauce on the tables. The free chips and salsa are homeade and delicioso!

The food was edible but no zing, none of that authentic Mexican taste. Everything was very bland, I wish the food and been up to par with the service and ambience.

Went last night, and I really dont see what the big deal is. The food was decent, I will give them kudos on their fajitas. Especially the steak because it was so tender. But all and all, it was avg.
