A group of 14 of us ate here last week, and the staff was terrific. Some of the best waitresses I have had in a group setting. The stuffed flounder was good, the prices were a few dollars below average, and the decor was nice. Many in our group went the next night, as well, and continued to rave!
we have been here for 3 nights and there are limited places to eat and this was the besst meal we had yet we would drive the 4 and a half hours just to come back again and we will be back, exelent staff, exelent food exelent atmosphere to thumbs up viiage keep up the great work hats off to everyone!
we had a party of 6 and made a reservation at the last moment. when we arrived they already had our table ready and by a window like we had hoped and asked for. our waitress Racheal was awsome, she made sure we had everything we needed. the food was excellent, everybodies food was made perfectlty. and the portions of food were great AND WE WILL BE RETURNING TO THIS RESTURANT EVERYYEAR, anybody who says otherwise is crazy this is a MUST try place
While on the island during a torrential rainy fall weekend we decided to try the Village Restaurant. We called at the last minute to make an early reservation and to ask for a window seat which we were given. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. Are serving were large. The fried shrimp and crab imperial were very good. My husband thought the oysters better than what he had at a St. Michael's restaurant earlier. We will try the Village again when on the island.
Food was fantastic, had the seafood stuffed tomatoes and crab appetizer. Girlfriend had the crab imperial. Both dishes were hot, tasty, and large. Service was fine and the staff honored our request for a window table for our reservation which topped-off a wonderful evening. We'll be back! Nate Kona and Sarah Culpepper.
A very nice meal for the Island. Great service. We will be going back. The oysters were, of course, amazing as were the clams. I also had the crab imperial and while I am not a big crab imperial fan, it was very good.
Went to the Village for my wife and my anniversary dinner. Made reservations earlier in the day and I asked to have a window seat on the water if possible. They could not guarantee it but they person taking the reservation said that they would put in for it and try. When we arrived we were seated promptly and I was pleasantly pleased to find that it was a window seat on the water.
I was not terribly impressed with the decor. It was very minimal. Clean, but not very polished. The walls and ceiling could use some work. The tables and chairs were just not very impressive. Dunno. Liked Bill's better for pure ambiance.
Our waiter was on the ball and friendly. We ordered crab soup as an appetizer and it was quite good. My wife had the surf and turf and I tried the blackened tuna.
Meal came in good time. My tuna was a bit overcooked and you couldn't really taste the seasoning but it was not horrible. Just not great. However, my wife's meal was super! The steak was juicy and tender. The lobster cooked perfect and the crab imperial was delicious. I would definitely recommend that.
All in all it was a very nice dinner. But I was not soooo terribly impressed that I would run back. I will try some other places next.
