We were looking for a new local seafood restaurant near our home..... I AM SOOO GLAD I found them on the internet!!!!! A hidden jewel. The seafood, i.e., scallops, oysters, shrimp were exceptional!!!! The food was hot ( the buffet is a must have!!! ) The service was excellent!!!!! I Been going there for at least 8 years, always good hot fresh food, service is always good price is affortable but they are slow getting and keeping the nice shrimps out, last night was very slow but once they do they are the BEST shrimps in tidewater area. I had my 50th party there and everyone enjoy the food and service. the cake is also very good.

Excellent choice for food and service. Lillian's is a bit rundown as far as restaurants are concerned, more like a cafeteria setting or a bingo hall in days of the past. The floors are soiled and most of the place is dingy & dark. BUT, the food is definitely worth it - you cannot beat this deal anywhere!! I believe the adult price is $14.95 and children 12 and under eat for $7.95. We usually go on a Friday or Saturday nights mostly, when they serve seafood. I have made requests to the buffet restocker and they brought it to my table once it was cooked. The stuffed salmon (my favorite) rivals 5-star restaurants (it is cooked to perfection - seriously!!) and they even have peel-and-eat shrimp and Oysters Rockefeller and fried oysters and scallops. my family and I went on vacation to Va Beach, we went to visit my brother while we were out there, he took us to this restaurant, the service was good and the food was superb. we all agreed that we will definitely come back when we visit again

My husband and I go there often for Sunday breakfast and also for lunch. The buffet has a variety of delicious food, however, it goes fast. If you are not at the bar when it comes out you just may miss out on a great dish. The building is old and a bit dark but the food is great.

I have enjoyed Lillian's since discovering in Jan. 2010. My truck driving friends frequent the place for a good meal. They are there more often than myself. The food and waitresses are nice. It is a good price for the buffett. My first visit I ordered the crab stuff shrimp & throughly enjoyed the meal. I nibbled from my friend's plate and since then I've ordered the buffett. The chicken is delicious!

When I first walk through the door it was a nice crowd of people. When I got to the table it was rocky and a little unstable. I went to the buffet and it was almost empty. Most of the plates were dirty. The selection of food was slim to none. The mashpotatoes taste very bland, they had meatballs that looked like someone just grabbed ground beef and through it in a pan with no seasoning. It was a horrible experience and I will not go back ever. I should have listen to the reviews on the website. It was the worst experience and I will be calling the health dept on tuesday after the holiday.

I have never been disappointed with Lillian's. They have fresh food at their buffet, filling it regularly as the food goes. Great selection, really great seasoning and great cooking. As prices go, you may find lots of places to go for less, but selection and taste make up for the price. We go regularly, on the weekends for seafood, as well as during the week. Jeff the owner is awesome. There's always a coupon in the mail, so try it with a coupon. You'll be glad you did!

The food is delicious! Everything is seasoned just right and they have some of the largest shrimp,my mouth is watering. The food is fresh and hot and not dried up like some restaurants,,just wish I lived closer.You won't be sorry you tried it.
