Stonehenge
STONEHENGE
There are many legends about Stonehenge e.g. it was built by the Celtic warrior queen Boudicca. No matter what the history there is no doubt that thousands of pilgrims come to this site every year. Not only druids but many persuations of pagan spiritualism are represented.
Every year The Ancient Order of Druids conduct their annual summer soltice celebrations at Stonehenge. On midsummer's morning the sun rises directly over the Heel Stone and the first rays shine into the centre of the monument between the open arms of the horseshoe arrangement. The henge is a Neolithic monument of approx 5000 years old (nearly 3000 years before the birth of Christ)
Who knows what impact a visit to this site could have for you, but for many it is a profoundly spiritual changing experience.
