La Alhambra is incredibly beautiful
Granada shows all that could have been right with religious tolerance. I couldn't help but imagine if Christianity, Judaism and Islam learned from each other the beauty and knowledge that would come from them would be unmatchable. This Islamic palace/fortress is probably one of the most beautiful architectural pieces ever. The corte de los leones, the sounds of the water and the reflections of the sky, the gardens... it is incredibly beautiful. You can almost imagine Schahirizad(?)fabricating her Arabian Nights' tales. No wonder Washington Irving was also inspired to write here too. To truly understand Spain's rich history of so many cultures, religions and arts; you have to see Granada - just not in the hot mid-afternoon summer (unless you have no choice). That time is for siesta anyway.
