Wonderful hidden treasure
Segovia is a city that doesn't get to much attention. As part of a 10day trip all around Spain I stayed here for two nights. I stayed with a family that spoke no English, so that was great for me to learn the language and family culture. When you are in the city you don't need to work about transport, it is a good one from one end of the town to the other (though it's all heavy up and down steep hills) but when your walking in a normal looking town you just turn the corner and staring at you is an amazing acueduct!
A little further along is The Cathedral on the plaza Mayor. It is so beautiful in the mid-days sunlight. If you travel further you go though some small street with little shops; some with souveniers and some modern products.
At the end you come to the Alcazar Castle. Plan enough time to take a tour! If you look at the castle style you see a lot of Disney castles are based on that style. It is like a fairytale.
I recommend planning a long day trip on foot in Segovia and bring your camera to capture those unforgetable memories.
