Historic Town of Vigan
Established in the 16th century, Vigan is the best-preserved example of a planned Spanish colonial town in Asia. Its architecture reflects the coming together of cultural elements from elsewhere in the Philippines, from China and from Europe, resulting in a culture and townscape that have no parallel anywhere in East and South-East Asia.
I like the places in Vigan, I had so much fun riding the calesa touring around the beautifl places in Vigan. The people are very warm and hospitable they will even help you locate the places around. I enjoyed walking in calle Crisologo where all the pasalubongs can be found. The shirts are so cheap. I can't say any negative comments about Vigan.......
I will go back there soon....:)
yes i did....walking along the cobblestones at night and early morning is sublime.So quite and it will really take you back in time...i celebrated my birthday there and Vigan will always be my favorite city in the Philippines.
