Darien National Park, Panama City

You might want to warn the americans that the Darien Province is not a suggested place to visit if your seen by the rebels (FARC) or drug smugglers, theres a good chance that they will be killed....thats no joke...also be carefull in colon

I have traveled to the Darien since 1995. I am an American, living in Panama. My area of expertise is the Rio Sambu. I have traveled extensively both down river (Boca de Sambu) and up river into the Embera Indian COMARCA village locations. The localpeople are caring, friendly, and pure. A co existance of Afro-Antilian and Embera. The Woonan are off a bit in distance. The river trips in motorized paraguas (canoes) are spectacular. The birds and wildlife amazing. Hiking with qualified guides is a treat as well. I love the place and welcome my adventurous amigos to come and experience the Darien. The FARC and Rebel/Drug issues are closer to the Colombian border. They have never been an issue where I have traveled.

I loved this place so much i feel like going back it was so good and beautiful and you can see all of these trees and plant this is why i want to go back.
