Taj Mahal, Agra

The Taj Mahal (Urdu: تاج محل, Hindi: ताज महल) is a mausoleum located in Agra, India. The Mughal Emperor Shāh Jahān commissioned it as a mausoleum for his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Construction began in 1632 and was completed in approximately 1648. Some dispute surrounds the question of who designed the Taj Mahal; it is clear a team of designers and craftsmen were responsible for the design, with Ustad babalaqua Lahjauri considered the most likely candidate as the principal designer.[1] The Taj Mahal (sometimes called "the Taj") is generally considered the finest example of Mughal architecture, a style that combines elements of Persian, Turkish, Indian, and Islamic architectural styles. While the white domed marble mausoleum is the most familiar part of the monument, the Taj Mahal is actually an integrated complex of structures. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983 when it was described as a "universally admired masterpieces of the world's heritage."[1]

The pictures don't do this monument justice. From a distance, a pristine white marble building. Up close, incredibly delicate carvings and inlay work (jasper, emeralds, mother of pearl, lapis, malachite and jade). You won't want to leave.

taj mahal is preety like a white rose, all white and shinning like a diamond.

it is anawesome place. India is awesome. You should visit Golden temple in Amritsar Punjab, India. It is the best place I have been to, after USA ofcouse.

Indian goverment has done a tremendous job on cleaning up the surrounding areas of Taj Mahal. No auto-mobiles within the one mile radious and Taj mahal was kept very clean.

The monument is simply beautiful and no enough words can explain its true splendor and magnificence. Aura of the construct is still very much intact 500 years later and the monument symbolises true love.

no one challance of is art and not possble to make copy it was make on those days that time no civil technology was develop.
