Surrounded by two arms of the River Ill, the Grande Ile (Big Island) is the historic centre of the Alsatian capital. It has an outstanding complex of monuments within a fairly small area. The cathedral, the four ancient churches and the Palais Rohan – former residence of the prince-bishops – far from appearing as isolated monuments, form a district that is characteristic of a medieval town and illustrates Strasbourg's evolution from the 15th to the 18th century.

I love this city
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/21/07
There is also Kronenbourg Brewery. I'm not a big beer person but the tour was really fun. The rest of my group really enjoyed the beer though. When you're at a restaurant or bar, you should try a demi-peche beer. It's a peach beer and I couldn't get enough of them. They're so good. I know Peach beer sounds gross, but trust me, they're awesome!

Strasbourg is wonderful and they barely mentioned any attractions
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/10/07
The website doesn't have any other attractions which is surprising because there are some great things to do there. For instance, there is Notre-Dame Cathedral and they have a light show every night there. There is also L'Église de Saint-Pierre-le-Jeune, which is a 1000 year old church. There's also l'Orangerie Parc if you want to have a relaxing afternoon. There's a store there called Fnac which is the equivalent to Barnes and Noble. A cute and trendy part of town is La Petite France. And there's tons of great little restaurants and shops such as Printemps all over town. Plus, the people is Strasbourg are the sweetest people I have ever met.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/19/06
I had a school project and it was the exact inspiration that I needed. The monuments were simply amazing, superb and fantastic are the words that i would use to describe it.
