Besides the ancient temples of Philae Island another Aswan treasure is the Moorish Old Cataract Hotel where Agatha Christie's "Murder on the Nile" was written. While overlooking the slow current of the mighty Nile enjoy High Tea on the terrace before boarding one of the Cruise ships that travel north to Luxor with frequent stops at many archaeological sites along the way. The bazaars and markets are interesting shopping delights. The people were friendly and most speak good English. I can't wait to experience Egypt again!
