Icelandic Opera
Description
It is relatively new with origins going back as far as the 1970's. Yet the repertoire of the Icelandic Opera is as colorful and interesting like its many European counterparts. Its past productions include 'Carmen', 'Tosca' (Puccini), 'The Marriage of Figaro' (Mozart), 'The Magic Flute' (Mozart), 'Hansel and Gretel' (Humperdinck) and many other classics. While rehearsals are presently underway for 'Cabaret' (a musical by Masteroff, Ebb and Kander), you can always catch a performance of 'The Turn of the Screw' for now.
