What a fantastic experience. I am a New Yorker and have been to really good restaurants all over the world . this one really stands out. First of all, the restaurant has real style with nice architectural detailing and these unusual , pretty fabric light fixtures. The staff is very friendly and attentive. i had my 2 kids with me and they allowed me to order pizza for them from their more casual next door cafe. My host wanted a special vodka from Iceland that they did not serve and they went out to purchase the vodka and put it on ice for us. I had a wonderful salmon dish and my husband had one of the specialties of the house, a moist flavorful salted cod fish. Everything was presented elegantly and tasted wonderful. I wish I could go back there, but doubt I will be back in Iceland any time soon.
