Bombay Blues

Description

Amidst the cluster of restaurants at Phoenix Mills lies Bombay Blues. The fare is mainly Indian and Mexican, so expect to find Sheesh Kebabs, Paneer Shaslik, Spaghetti Chicken Barbecue, nachos, tacos and the like on the menu. Bright colors and pin-ups rule the decor, while the staff, dressed in Hawaiian shirts, wait on you with a smile. The food takes its own time, and the drinks menu is highly limited, but once the Sizzling Brownie arrives all is forgiven! There are various other locations across the city.

B'bay blues finally comingto Chennai
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/11/08
It has always been a must visit during my trips to Mumbai. Tasty food, great spread basically a food lover's delight! Chennai is finally catching up, I am glad that Bombay Blues is finally opening at our very own Nungambakkam. I don't have to travel to Mumbai for the deadly nachos & pastas..

Tasty food, good service, VALUE FOR MONEY! GREAT AMBIENCE, A MUST GO! Nachos unbelievable, the pasta was good as well. Starters are out of this world - the onion rings, the cheeseballs, the chaats. you cant go wrong here!

El Chico Electrico

This restaurant is great. I had the impression to be in another city, e.g. Cancun or Tihuana. The nachos are great and the casadilla fantastic, but if you want to try something totally amazing try the burrito!!!! Even the service is super, full of faboulous chicks wearing hot mexincan outfit, "oohh senoritas"!!! It`s a must!!!

Go Blue with the food at B'bay Blues
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/29/06
Well I have tried most of the restaurants of Blue Foods, and none of them have disappointed me (Noodle Bar being the best), until I visited Bombay Blues last week with one of my friends. Initially, when I entered I found the ambience was quiet welcoming, especially the huge TV screen good to watch matches and all. Then came the turning point, when the menu was placed before us. They serve Indian, Mexican, Lebanese and Italian. But, that didnt confuse me as much the pictures describing the food did, because the quantity displayed was so less they it can be hardly filling. For instance, they Indian meals with dal, jeera rice and vegetable/non veg, the rice served is less that two spoons full. Anyways, we decided to try out Mexican food, but I did not know that Mexican food came with a Gujrati twist or may be vice versa, it was Gujrati food with Mexican twist. The tacos served with salsa, were fried and tasted more like papdis and the salsa was sweet , I have never tasted anything like that before. As for the enchiladas I ordered, they were chicken and refried beans (just about OK ) served in a horribly sweet tomato based sauce. I thought I idea was to serve the desserts along with the main course. But, the worst part was the Quesiladas my friend ordered, they were as good as having nothing, just like the filling in it which wasnt really there. This is one restaurant which scores in ambience, but not in the main reason why people come there i.e FOOD It just fails to deliver value for your money.
