Head to Johnson Ranch in Sonoma County for an evening of fun and enjoyment. Apart from wine-tasting sessions, there's also snacks you can munch on, and the dress-code is strictly casual—the events call for it! Music plays in the background too, and its best to go with a group of friends to enjoy what the ranch has to offer—you'll have a ball!

don't waste your time; like is too short!

Located along the beautiful Highway 128 in Alexander Valley, you'll find a totally different vibe once you enter the long driveway in the actual winery grounds. It is appropriate that the winery advertises its organ as the focal point; its wines and facilities certainly are not. The grounds feature broken appliances and a run down picinic area in the yard, with mobile homes nearby. The building is dirty, and the staff seemed bored during my two different visits. As such, it should come as no surprise that the wine is subpar--that's putting it mildly. I don't delight in ripping a winery, but these folks deserve it. With all the other wonderful and professional wineries nearby, keep on driving when you see Johnson's entrance.

Welcome home winery!
By D, 03/16/07
This winery is wonderful. The people that own it treat you like friend coming to their home. The father ran the winery before his death, put together the organ that takes up most of the (barn) tasting room. And if you love dogs, you will really love the basset and lab that greet you when you arrive. Visit and you will enjoy the people and wines!
