Ledson Winery & Vineyard, Sonoma

The staff are so rude they forget they are in service industry and seemed to be put out to help you and ingnore you instead until you leave. That's ok there are far too many excellent wineries in this area that are happy to serve you and let you buy their wine.

Went there because of they do a lot of Zinfandels and we were not disappointed. Although they were about to close, the consultant (Austin Smith) took his time to pour and explain over 10 wines to us. Signed up for the club right there..

We visited 10 wineries last week, and Ledson was one of our favorites. Absolutely beautiful setting, very friendly staff, great zinfandel, and we ended up enjoying their cheese and bread in the picnic area. Yes, they are out to sell wine, but isn't that the point of going to visit wineries? We joined their wine club and are eagerly waiting for the first shipment. We definitely will be back.

Only winery I have ever been to where the employees actually bad mouthed other wineries and wine areas. Structure and view is definitely beautiful. They seemed much more interested in making a sale than anything else. None of what we tasted was above average at best. I have nice pictures of the place, but would never purchase any product.

We have been to the winery 3 times. Once we were in California for a wedding and they hosted a wine paring event for the bride and groom. We followed that up 2 years later for a 40th birthday party and then again 1 year later for another 40th birthday. We were hosted by Jerry and he did a private tasting that was absolutely wonderful. Jerry took such good care of us that we joined the wine club and have NEVER regretted it. WE, my husband and I,plan to go back to the winery for our 50th birthday. You can't beat the hospitality or the best wine in the valley, in OUR opinion. Our absolute favorite wine is the Century Vine Red Zin, with a close second on their Port, which is the finest we have enjoyed.....
