This restaurant serves up fresh seafood - and that means prawns, squids, fish and lots of seaweed! All the eight chefs from Thailand serve up tangy seafood delicacies for you right in the heart of Paris. Kok Ping has tables set very close to each other, yet all in all, very comely interiors (look out for the quaint chandeliers). Start off with shrimp soup, Tom Yam Kung. Do go for the Pekinese Peking Duck, and then end with the gooey Mango and Coconut Pudding. You'll be coming back for more real soon!
All the food is unbelievable. Every time I have been to Paris since finding this gem, I visit. Admittedly it's not cheap, but I feel as an overall package, the memories will linger long in the mind. Chicken spring roll starter, wrap in mint and lettuce and dip in the chilli and honey sauce. Mmmmmmm...
This was a fantastic little find just off the Champs Elysees only yards from the Arc de Triomphe. The menu provides a good choice of both Chinese and Thai cuisine, from which I can thoroughly recommend the assorted Dim Sum as a shared starter.
The staff are very friendly, and fluent in both French and English. The evening was highly enjoyable, enough to attract us back for a second meal 2 evenings later, which was just as impressive.
I thought that the meal was good value, taking into account the location of the restaurant and the amount of food that you got for your money. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.
